The guys at GVS are awesome. Friendly and polite, efficient and honest. No matter how shorter notice, they always find time to help me out when the car has gone wrong. They are honest to a fault, telling me honestly what they would if the car were theirs, whilst remaining professional at all times. The lady on the front desk is so warm and welcoming - the thought of ringing the mechanics in past instances used to be a bit intimidating, but she couldn't be nicer or more helpful.

I booked my car in last minute for an MOT on a Friday. They honestly cannot of been more accommodating. Really helpful when I needed new tyres fitting; I’d gone away for the weekend, they let me pay over the phone and dropped the car back off at my place, so I didn’t have to rush around on Monday morning, leaving the paperwork on my seat. They even changed all of the tyre valve caps, which means nothing, but was a nice little extra! A cheap MOT and I’m so glad to find a local garage that I know I can trust not to rip me off. Probably the more important bit! I’d recommend GVS to everyone and anyone that will listen!

They initially seemed very friendly & helpful although I did wonder why the garage was so quiet.  They had a look at the work required & rang me to say it would cost almost £700.  I was stunned by this but due to the situation - vehicle off the road, me working 40 miles away, in the middle of a very busy day on site - I very reluctantly gave the go-ahead.  However having had a chance to think about the situation, I rang two other garages (ones I trust but too far away on this occasion) who quoted me less than £300 for the work required.  I also talked to our usual garage who said that GVS were replacing parts which weren't defective.

I raised these concerns with GVS when I went to pick up my vehicle but they were adamant that £700 isn't a ridiculous amount to pay for new calipers & pads.  So I had no choice but to pay this exorbitant amount.

I had the misfortune to use GVS last week:  my pick-up urgently needed some repairs to its brakes & unfortunately our usual garage, Rangers, in Durrington (always excellent), was too busy to fit me in for a few days.  I had the bright idea of trying GVS & have been regretting it ever since.

I popped in here at 4pm on a Friday as I was driving long-distance past them and had steering-wheel shake from some new tyres that had been fitted elsewhere. They squashed me in, re-balancing all four wheels for me and showed me the process on the machine so that I could see all four wheels were balanced correctly down to 0. Very helpful and accommodating, would definitely come back.

They completely took advantage of my predicament & sum up everything people hate about the worst kind of garages.  We'll obviously never use them again & will warn all our friends & acquaintances to give them a wide berth.  Terrible experience.
